Press Release --- FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

July
4th Fireworks Show moved
Due
to safety considerations and more stringent regulations by the State of
California, the Red Bluff Fire Department in conjunction with the Red Bluff
Volunteer Fire Department, has moved the launch site for the July 4th
community fireworks show from the
Red
Bluff
River
Park
to the Red Bluff Elk’s Lodge.
“The
Red Bluff Elks have been very generous and accommodating to our request to
use their site and we truly appreciate their cooperation” stated Fire
Chief Gerry Gray.
The
fireworks display will begin at dusk on July 4th and will be
shot over the
Sacramento River
just a few hundred yards south of the traditional launch site.
All of the traditional viewing areas in Red Bluff will still serve
as ideal locations from which to view the show and the
Red
Bluff
River
Park
will remain fully open to the public with no perimeter restrictions as in
the past.
“This is a win-win situation for our community.
We keep the fireworks show in the city and still provide a large
enough safety buffer to prevent any injuries or problems from the show
itself” added Gray.
For more
information please call the Red Bluff Fire Department at 527-1126.
