At the request of the California Office of Emergency Services (OES), the Red Bluff Fire Department, along with the City of Corning and the County of Tehama Fire Departments have deployed personnel and equipment to the "Junction" fire near Lewiston.

RBFD Engine 4 responded with three firefighters along with Division Chief Jon Bennett and Captain Larry Snell as supervisors to lead the strike team of local government fire engines (5 engines in total) from Tehama County.

Over the years, the RBFD has maintained a strong involvement in the state-wide mutual aid system that is coordinated by OES.
