At the request of the California Office of Emergency Services (OES), the Red Bluff Fire Department, along with the County of Tehama Fire Department have deployed personnel and equipment to the "Pigeon" fire in Trinity County.

RBFD Engine 4 responded with three firefighters along with Division Chief Jon Bennett and Fire Marshal Michael Bachmeyer as supervisors to lead the strike team of local government fire engines (5 engines in total) from Tehama County.

Over the years, the RBFD has maintained a strong involvement in the state-wide mutual aid system that is coordinated by OES.
