At the request of the California Office of Emergency Services (OES), the Red Bluff Fire Department has deployed personnel and equipment to the "Butler 2" fire in San Bernadino County (Southern California).

OES Engine 324 along with four firefighters from the RBFD have joined four other OES engines from Tehama County, Shasta County, Butte County, and City of Redding as part of an OES Engine Strike Team.  The City of Redding has provided the Strike Team Leader for the team.

Over the years, the RBFD has maintained a strong involvement in the state-wide mutual aid system that is coordinated by OES.
