At the request of the California Office of Emergency Services (OES), the Red Bluff Fire Department has deployed personnel and equipment to the lightning caused fires in Shasta County.

Division Chief Michael Bachmeyer will lead a local government Strike Team of five fire engines from Tehama County.  

Over the years, the RBFD has maintained a strong involvement in the state-wide mutual aid system that is coordinated by OES.
