On March 21, the Red Bluff City Council approved the employment contract which promoted RBFD Division Chief Gerry Gray to the position of Fire Chief for the department.
Chief Gray has been employed by the Red Bluff Fire Department for over 14 years and fills the vacancy left behind by retired fire chief Michael J. Damon. Since January 1, 2006 Chief Gray has served as the interim fire chief.
Chief Gray graduated from Humboldt State University with a degree in the sciences and completed his early fire academy training at the Shasta College Fire Academy.
