On August 11th, at the request of the California Office of Emergency Service (OES), the Red Bluff Fire Department dispatched one Strike Team Leader (Captain Larry Snell), Engine 2 (Engineer Agundes & crew) and Engine 3 (Engineer Smalley & crew) to the Bear and French fires in Shasta County and the Oregon Fire in Butte County.  Division Chief Gerry Gray also responded as part of CDF Incident Command Team #2.

The Oregon fire burned approximately 2,000 acres and claimed 2 homes and 15 outbuildings.

The Bear fire burned nearly 10,500 acres and claimed 80 homes and 30 outbuildings.

The French fire burned approximately 13,000 acres and claimed 26 homes, 1 commercial property, and 76 outbuildings.

OES will reimburse the City of Red Bluff for the costs of the personnel and equipment used on the fire.
